Our Commitment

Diversity, Equity
& Inclusion

At Neylak, DEI is not a program. It is the foundation on which everything else is built. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Artist Representation

We actively recruit artists across all skin tones, hair types, abilities, cultural backgrounds, and gender identities. Our artist directory features representation metrics we publish quarterly. Today, over 60% of our artist community identifies as people of color, and 72% are women or non-binary.

Bias-Free Matching

Our artist discovery algorithm has been independently audited for demographic bias. Artists are ranked by verified quality signals — ratings, booking completion rate, response time — never by photograph or name. We re-audit every six months and publish the results.

Pay Equity

Neylak charges a flat, transparent platform fee to all artists regardless of their specialty, location, or background. We do not have tiered fee structures that disadvantage newer or less established artists. Every artist starts on equal terms.

Inclusive Product Design

Our product team conducts regular accessibility audits (WCAG AA compliance), inclusive user research panels, and bias reviews of new features before launch. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is a launch requirement.

Internal Culture

Our team spans 16 nationalities and we maintain a 50/50 gender split at the leadership level. We conduct anonymous compensation reviews semi-annually to identify and close pay gaps. We publish aggregated internal DEI metrics annually.

Community Investment

Through the Neylak Accelerate program, we provide free platform access, mentorship, and marketing support to early-career artists from underrepresented communities. In 2024, we supported 340 artists through this program.

We hold ourselves accountable.

We publish our DEI metrics annually, including where we have fallen short and what we are doing about it. Accountability is not optional when it comes to inclusion.
